Council Description
The Council for Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation is dedicated to promoting cardiovascular health throughout Asia by implementing evidence-based prevention strategies and providing high-quality cardiac rehabilitation services.
The Council pays special attention to strengthening primary and secondary prevention initiatives, as well as improving recovery paths for people with existing cardiovascular diseases. Recognising the diversity of health systems and cultural contexts in Asia, the Council pays special attention to developing recommendations tailored to regional conditions, raising awareness of key risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, and promoting accessible, culturally sensitive rehabilitation programs.
Through collaboration, education, and research, the Council aims to play a significant role in reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease in the region.
